Default Hunting grouse in Alberta

Hello I am a new hunter and are wondering where near Edmonton is a good area to hunt grouse. Thanks for any ideas

Near Edson (west of the city) can be good. Personally have not hunted there in a few years, but it was good from what I recall.

I usually head North of Athabasca, there's some good logging roads in there. Was able to harvest 5 Ruffies yesterday (opening day)!

Usually the hunting gets a bit better after a couple freezes as the ground bush starts to die off. Makes it significantly easier to see them. Pro tip: go right after a small snowfall as that REALLY makes it easy

Default Forestry Trunk Rd

I went north of Nordegg, along Forestry Trunk Rd I caught about 8 of them in late September. I'm going again this weekend.
