Default Missing brittany spaniel --calgary

OUR BOY DUKE disappeared on Monday afternoon, near Bearspaw Dam, Valley Ridge side. Area is thickly wooded, many steep slopes. Scouring hillsides and ravines day and night, and knocking on doors/putting up posters in Valley Ridge and Springbank, and Tuscany and Bowness. Duke is 9 years old, very good health, about 45 lbs. He is licensed, has a tag with our phone numbers and is micro-chipped. Coyotes in the area, but so far no signs an encounter (tufts of hair, blood). Grateful for search tips and for folks keeping an eye out for him.

My heart goes out to you. I have a Britt about the same age and size. Good luck.

Is he neutered? The coyotes are mating now and he could've taken after one...
I really hope you will find him. You did talk to SPCA, shelters, dogpound, right?

I walk my dog everyday at different NW off-leash parks and will definitely keep a lookout for Duke. Hope it turns out well.

Very sorry to hear that. I'd be distraught if I lost my boy.

Excellent first post ^ about a missing dog . Most people barely provide half that information when they first start out. I'll pass all that info & photo on to everyone I know in that area.

Please keep us posted, and ...

Bump. Hope you find Duke, I had a Shorthair get out and we got him back 4 days later. He made it from 50st to the Mill creek ravine, spent 3 nights outside for sure and then some nice lady found him and took him to a vet off 99st who scanned his chip and called us. We thought he was a gonner , I hope the same happens and you get Duke back.
