Default Information about WMU 406, white-tailed bucks and black bears

I would appreciate any information about hunting white-tailed bucks in WMU 406. I have the draw for it and plan to go down there in late October for a two-day hunt. Is the Donny Getty Wildland Park the best area to hunt in? If not, where? Also, are there plenty of black bears in that area? Thanks for your help.

I was in Bluerock for a couple days during the bow season, saw a few white tail does. Have seen a good sized buck there earlier in the summer but haven't seen any bucks in the last couple months and I'm there every weekend.

There is more wildlife at the Donnelly Mud Bogs every August than there is in WMU 406.

You do know that Calgary is only 35-40 minutes drive to 406.

Hunters account for a fraction of the users in that area.

I'd hunt around home, 406 is not a productive zone, no where near what it is around Donnelly

Forgot to mention, have seen blackbears down near anchor d off the road. Your best bet would be to just drive down there and hike around. Is lots of people around during the summer, but get off the trails a few feet and will see tons of wildlife. Was about 3 weeks ago I think was some hunters had 2 moose less then 2 hours from the campground. Kicking myself for not putting in for this draw as I have way too much priority wasting away
