Default Pal question

Ok stupid question here . Don't blast me here please . Just arguing with a buddy. He says that he can own a rifle non restricted for hunting/trapping purposes (he has a trap line) without his pal... Is this true ? I was always under the understanding that you can have a firearm with you as Long as there's another person with you that does have a pal . ??

You are correct, a PAL is required, unless you are under the care and control of someone who is the holder of the proper licence ( PAL or RPAL )

Gotta have the licence or be under the supervision of someone with one.
