Default Reloading for a 38-55 sharps

I have a 38-55 Sharps that I inherited, it was built about 10 years ago.
I'm planning to reload cast bullets for it, I have some 245gr bullets from the Bullet Barn, but my Lyman and Hornady manuals don't have loads for that bullet. Could anyone point me in the right direction? Besides Bullet Barn, where else can we buy cast bullets in Canada?
Also thinking of working up a load for jacketed bullets as I'd like to take a deer with this rifle, any thoughts or advice would be appreciated.

IIRC correctly Jethunter sells gas checked bullets for the 38/55
If I was going yo hunt with it, I would use a hard cast lead bullet and black powder not a jacketed bullet and smokeless .

Keep it bellow 1K, and you'll be fine.

The Lyman manual is a good resource.

Thanks fellas. I worked up some test loads of 245gr cast bullet over H4198, started with 18gr.
Too damn windy to hit the range, hoping to get out on Friday afternoon.
