Default arrow saw

Looking for something to trim my arrows (carbon and fmjs) but am having trouble finding one. Any suggestions? I am in Lethbridge but I am in Calgary a lot too.

Default arrow saw

If you are only going to get a doz or so a year pay a bow shop to do it. A good arrow saw will probably be $200 or so, then need to hook up a vacuum as carbon fibre dust is not good to breath. Most shops charge 25 cents per arrow so $3.00 per dozen or free if you buy the arrows from some shops. Cheers Roscoe

Agrred with the borrowing thing. I only cut a few dozen a year so I borrow my friends saw. In return i only have to call elk and moose in for him. Pretty good trade I think!

Jimbows or Calgary Archery Center can cut them for you or even get you set up with an arrow saw , I purchased mine used from Jim and it works great for me the purchase made sense as my entire family shoots kids included so when I change arrows I cut my old ones down for the kids

Thanks for your responses guys! I think I will take them into a shop but continue to look for a good used saw (more for convenience than anything...sometimes I get a second wind at midnight and work on my projects then). I've noticed there are 5000 and 8000 rpm units... do I need the 8K or will 5K work as well?

The 8000 is for the full metal jacket...

I was in your same shoes, brought all the equipment I need to work on my own equipment.

I would recommend An 8000..much cleaner cuts...

Apple 8000 with An ASD makes for perfect arrows..
