I've never tried one of these 3 point rests like those octanes ect. Are they any good? Who makes the best?

I have used the octane hostage pro. Hated it. Brushes wore to fast. 10 bucks for replacement ones. Went with the octane drop away. No problems yet.

all the guys selling the bowtech assassin are telling everyone who buys em to replace the rest ASAP.
seems like they are junk, but help keep price on the package down.

Not a very good rest at all. I had a hostage when they first came out on the market and it wore out after a couple weeks of steady shooting prior to hunting season...

I just bought an assassin and before I bought it I got them to replace the rest with a rip cord. The octane rest is very cheaply made. Once you see one in front of you, you'll know what I mean. As for the rest of the bow package its a great deal for a good performing bow.

I am not a fan at all of the " Hostage" style rest , I have seen several styles and brands of these and they do not hold up IMO . The Riot and the Kraze both come a with a three finger style and both were wore out with in a few months of the kids shooting them , I am also not a fan of the Ripcord to many issues with sticking in the cold
