Default Best place to get a bow string made.

Just wondering where you guys think the best place is to go and get a bowstring made would be. I took my bow in before Christmas to certain shop and they still havnt got it done. I'd like to get back shooting again.

Thoughts on where I could get one built?

pipestone. call jim and set a time that will work for ya both. If that certain shop is the one I'm thinking it is, pipestone is alot cheaper too.

Thats way to long to be waiting should be week or less. Right now is a slow time for builders. I've had a few to build in December and January. Time for a new shop no excuse to be waiting that long. You might have to wait a bit longer during hunting season and by longer I mean little over a week as that is the really busy season.

X2...I change my stock strings out to Worlds Best Strings usually right out of the bow new...or will break in new string just for a quick spare if needed and swap..WBS really is the only string manufactuer that has truly solved the serving seperation issue on cam roll over....warrenty is second to none....Allan is a great guy to work with...

with his strings right out of the package its amazing how close they are built and pre twisted to bring the bow into spec ...

Thanks for the replies guys. I'll be phoning about my bow soon here and getting it back if there is a new string on it or not. I know next time to not pay before it's done.

Jim at Pipestone is on holidays for the next two weeks, so you might want to take that into consideration. I've never ordered strings from him but him and Judy are really nice and the customer service there is outstanding.

I wasn't gonna say it but you are correct. I'm gonna pick my bow up in a couple days. We will see if there is a new string on it.

Sherwood Park Archery will be closed between Feb 1 and 18 while they move to a new location. I had a worlds best string made for a bow I used to own and was happy with the quality.

Give Vapor Trail strings a try. Best quality servings on the market, 3 day turn around time guaranteed, and excellent customer service. Order online and pick your colors as you build the string.

Hey Neil, have you had any issues with worlds best strings stretching? I've read many mixed reviews on them. But many of the reviews are dated. I ordered these strings anyways. And are being installed on my bow this week. I'm curious how long it takes to shoot them in? I've been told by some they don't even need to be shot in. Is this true? Thanks!
Chris.

X2. When I put the wbs on my bow I gained 10 fps. Now I have to order a set for my wife's bow. And the color options they have are awesome.

I've had his 8125 string/cable sets and wasn't to impressed, serving is done well. Not sure if he is using the new 8190, but I built one set on my cables and imo its not much better. Most guys swear by 452x, tried true rock solid, I've had awesome luck with Brownell XS2 also.
