Default Brass tumbling with rice.

Hey, I read about it either here or somewhere else. But, I just had to try it. It works not so badly. Narry no clean up of dust afterwards, and the brass comes out pretty clean. BUT, the worse problem is getting the rice out of the brass. So, it was an experiment, I had to try it. But I wouldn't recommend it. For small batches, walnut shells and rouge. For larger batche's and like new brass - stainless pins and lemishine.

Years ago, like almost 30, when I started reloading and had no money my first tumbler was an old rock polisher with rice.

Short grain for small cases, long grain for magnums...:-)

Field peas and red spring wheat work good too. Need to keep peas dry, if they start to rot taking lid off pail will knock off your socks.
