Default Sako 85 stainless synthetic - best rings?

My local gun shop has a Model 85 stainless synthetic (not Finnlight) that has been catching my eye for a while. It's a beautiful rifle, but I am concerned about the long action ejection issue I have read a lot about. Those guys who have long action 85s (30-06 or otherwise) - what ring setup do you have and have you ever had issues with ejected shells hitting your scope? I will be putting something like a 1 - 4 or 2 - 7 scope on the rifle so there shouldn't be an issue with large target turrets or massive objective size.

I had a scope mounted on a Sako 85 stainless synthetic at P&D and I went with Optilock. The fella doing the mounting knew what he was doing and I never had any issues with it.

Talley, Leupold, or Burris. All are as strong as the optilocks, for a lot less money.

I have the Opti's on both my Sako 85 Stainless Synthetic and my 85 Finnlight. I really like the rings, but yes they are not cheap.

Default Optilocks

3 Sakos here.

All with Optilocks.
I am not gentle cycling the action. No problems.
They are tough and will not break if you use a little snap when you cycle them.

optilocks really make a sako look much nicers,if your going to spend 2300 ,may as well spend 2400 and dress it up right, ether way you have to buy rings for 100.Instead of buying a 2000 dollar scope buy one for 1850 ,and your even.IT may not be the right math but most gun nuts forget how to add when something grabs there heart.

Default Bases are important for sure

I had rings with the small bases only on my 85 hunter but had issues with holding zero. Put on the larger bases along with opti-lock rings and the rig runs without a hitch.

Never had ejection issues in the .308 and I have cycled at all speeds without ANY failure through numerous brands of ammo.

I have Sako Optilock rings and bases or the Optilock Ringmounts on all my Sako m75 rifles . It's my preference for setup👍

As a proud and happy (new) owner of the mentioned gun - I second that!
Never an issue with it, great 30-06 rifle. Thanks Dave!

Optilocks on my 375 H&H, no problems ejecting and the stainless matches the stainless of the barrel and action.

I use optilock ringmounts in low on all my sakos with 40 mm scopes.
IMO nothing looks better than the ringmounts and when factoring cost many shops that would do a proper scope mounting will charge around $25 - $50 to lap rings and mount scope where as with optilocks they use a plastic ring inside the metal ring that allows the scope to be aligned properly and ensures solid contact.

I have the optilocks on a few rifles and really like them. I also use quite a few sets of the Burris Signature rings with the inserts similar to the optilocks. And they've been great as well.

Optilocks rings and bases will run you about $185. For $55 you can get Talleys that are every bit as good.

After receiving the overwhelming recommendations for Optilocks, I tried them. Then I tried the one piece models.

I now have Burris bases and Leupold rings. Looks far more streamline and very solid.

Exactly what I have on my Bavarian Carbine.

Four Sako 85's all wear Optilock extra-low rings and bases. Never have moved...solid performance.

I put Optilok X-Low rings and a 44mm scope on my .300 win mag Finnlight. I chose a long tube scope and didn't need to use an extended front base. I like the setup over the Talley and Leupold solutions I've used on my other guns.

I just wish sako would make the ring screws a little harder. Man they round out way to easy. Even with a torque driver.
