Default Suggestions on a high quality scope

My old bushnel is done. Shooting all over the place..
Before any one asks. Bore is clean. Rifle has been to a reputable gunsmith for a through inspection. He inspected scope and mounts also.
Rifle is a .223 heavy barrel. My gopher gun. Used to shoot 1/2 in groups at 100 yards. Now 1-1/2 groups.
Looking for a variable 4.5- 30 range
First focal point Mil dot reticle
50 mm objective lens

On the wish list is - vortex razor HD gen II. Ebr-2 reticle 4.5x30x56
Bushnell elite tacticl g2dmr reticle. 4.5x30x50
What is your opinion on a precision scope?
My longest shot- 420 yards = dead gopher. It took 5 shots to get him zeroed. Lol
Thanks in advance

The Nightforce shv are very good scopes at a reasonable price.

Have you used a FFP scope on a varmint rifle? Do you use the reticle to range? A FFP scope would drive me bonkers on a varmint rig because the reticle gets so large when you are at max mag. Sightron is definitely the best bang for the buck when it comes to quality target scopes. The work very well.

I currently have a NF ATACR MOAR F2 which I like very much,
I need another scope and am considering the following.
I want great glass, solid turrets, and a hash graduated reticle (no dots or BDC).
I have Leica HD-B binos with great glass and wish they made a scope with good tactical turrets and graduated reticles.
I am inclined to go S&B for glass quality but am concerned that I need more than 65 moa vertical adjustment.

34mm tube preferred
Tangent Thetta TT525P 5-25x56
Kahles K624i 6-24x56
Schmidt & Bender PMII 5-25X56
Nightforce ATACR 5-25x56
Steiner T5xi 5-25x56
Burris XTR II 4-20x50
Burris XTR II 5-25x56
Zeiss/Hensoldt ????
US Optics ER-25 5-25x56
Swarovski X51 5-25x56

30mm tube
Nightforce NXS 5.5-22x50
Sightron SIII SS 6-24x50

All suggestions appreciated.

Good Luck, YMMV

I would vote sightron also. They have the new s5 10-50. I think that's the only magnification it's offered in right now. If your shooting varmint, a little high magnification would work out good.

Why not a Bushnell 6500? The new Bushnell elite tacs are quite nice, as are the sightrons. Nightforce is always nice but overpriced IMHO. Havent used any of the high end vortex.

Not sure why the Nikon Monarch isn't on the list.
I've got two, and I'll continue to buy them.
I feel that you end up paying for the brand name in some cases. Take a serious look at this scope.

For long range target scopes I have 2 NXS 5.5-22x 50 MOART reticle. Pretty tough to beat the quality of Nightforce. I also have a 8-32x56 NXS for another rig I'm building. For hunting scopes with turrets I really like Leupolds VX3 CDS. I recently put a VX3 2.5x10 CDS on my new 6.5x55. Tried it out at 400 yards and it is bang on.
