Default Ducks today

I was able to get out for a limit of ducks today. I have a new dog and this is the first time we have been out duck hunting together.
I know they aren't all big fat green heads but I didn't have time to scout so I went to a DU site East of Calgary and set up half a dozen decoys and a mojo.
I was able to knock down 8 duckies in about an hour and a half.
I forgot the camera at home so the pics aren't that great. One of them was badly smashed up so I left it out of the picture.
Enjoy

Nice work daryl. I am just on my way out the door to go and shoot a field with about 500 snows 2000 ducks and 100 maybe more Canada's. Glad the specks are gone and the big northerns are down. So much fun to shoot 20 + pound geese.

If you bothered to read he said he left 1 out as it was "badly smashed up".

Wow, a whole lot of fail in this thread. Except for the first pics, good lookin dog!!

You need to get out of the city and come on a shoot with me. Never shot big birds hey, that's alright, we can't all get the big ones, I suggest you at least aim at them though.

You shoot a goose and have it weighed on a certified scale and it weighs 20lbs.. Ill pay you a grand!

I wouldnt be calling people failures,, because you actually have no clue how heavy a BIG canada goose weighs.

A bunch of "mud ducks" as some folks refer to them. I don't care, I needed to get the dog on birds and it was a good experience for him.

To top it off, it's only about 30 minutes from home.

I see gadwall, mallards and bluebills in that mix. Even the bluebills are good eating this time of year! Gadwall are great eating. I never seen how a person shooting all mallards was any better a hunter than the guy who takes a limit of other ducks. I mean it's not like they are limiting on black ducks or anything.

You bet, I can walk out my door and limit out any night I want 10 minutes from my door step. As a matter of fact I limited out tonight on some big ones that will push the 15 lbs mark chump. Looks to me like some one is a little jealous. And besides I hate having to defend myself to some clueless easterner. Do a google search bubbles and next time think before you talk. That should stir the pot. If you want come out east and I can sit you in a field and you will literally sh$t yourself. Or just yak your mouth, you seem to be good at that. By the way, pay up, looser
