Did you learn that from all the time you spend hanging out with him, that time he had your family over for dinner, or just from what you see on TV?

Dunno about you but I go to the lake to get away from all that... no power or running water, no cell service, no TV, no noisy neighbours. Probably a lot of people on this site are the same.

Lol!

Here’s a few pics of his little private escape.

You’re probably right though, no phone in that little lake shack.

I will say this though. Unless O'Leary's boat had radar I don't think it should have been going cruising speed in the dark. Regardless of whether the other boat had lights on or not. What if they hit a large log or rock? Their own crew could have been killed in such an instance. Even with radar its sketchy for a small craft to cruise at night. Nothing good will come of this sadly.
The people on the other boat say their navigation lights were on. No sober person would be flying down the lake in the dark but add a couple bottles of booze and the throttle lever would get bent!

One thing is for sure though, it seems as though Kevin really enjoyed his lake cottage and no matter who was driving his boat I’m sure it will never be the same going out there. The memory of the night two people died under his boat will never go away, I’m almost positive it’s something that will never leave his mind.

Two threads and unprovoked trolling in both. Nope. Ain't gonna happen.

Speed limits can vary on recreational waters from lake to lake, and province to province, so it is hard to say.

Driving by gps has been a problem before. It looks like the boat was going to fast. A few sharp corners and tight channels there. I wonder who was driving

Geesh, I'd love the boathouse all by itself. Perhaps a good sized shop / garage on the lot but that boathouse looks plenty enough for me.

People definitely build a lot of new “Humble” cottages and the like in the Muskoka’s.

There is a LOT of display of wealth on those lakes.

If he's only worth 400 mill he lost some over time. Sold his early company to Mattel for 3.7 B. Maybe had a few partners?

Police are saying this investigation could take weeks or even months before any analysis is published.

O’leary Has been reported to have hired famous criminal lawyer Brian Greenspan to take his case.

I’m sure somehow this is Harpers fault and likely Alberta’s oil patch is also to blame. Standby for reporting from the CBC.

I thought that he was ex-RCMP, so he would know its not what you did, its what you can prove. As for fleeing the scene if there are injured on bored I would be trying to meet up with medical ASAP even if it involved leaving, as the ambulance sure isn't coming to you boat.

I concur.

He could be up poop creek soon, hope his wife knows how to pilot a boat like that if he gets banned from driving.

By now Greenspan's assistant has personally interviewed every single person that interacted that night with Kevin & Linda, none of them think the O'Leary's had more than a glass of wine before dinner, hours before the crash......

Usually, when you get up close to these guys, you find they are not nice people, that's how they got where they are.

The fact that Kevin jumped up with a statement so quick, one that claimed the other boat was in the wrong but he wished them well, then shut right up absolutely reeks of guilt.

“The other boat didn’t have its navigation lights on, but my thoughts and prayers are with them....”

Then a statement from the OPP, and the occupants of the other boat say the navigation lights were in fact on.

It’s not about hate, political clout or jealousy, it’s about putting 2 and 2 together to form an opinion as to what happened. I’m conservative to the bone and I liked Kevin, but if it turns out he was in fact driving the boat (which in my opinion is the most likely scenario), and he chose to throw his wife under the bus rather than face this like a man, he is a pos in my opinion.

Well I hope that he’s trying to protect his wife and not trying to throw her under the bus.
