Default 22 250 factory ammo

Just ended up picking up another 22 250 after selling mine this spring along with all my brass. So i need more brass but would like to hear what people have found shooting some good factory stuff as all i shot were my hand loads. This would also replenish my brass.

Thanx

I like Win brass in the 22-250 and as luck would have it, their whitebox loads in hte 40 pack also have shot well out of any 22-250 I tried them in. At the price I paid last year, $27/40, for the Whitebox, it is cheaper to get your brass this way than to buy virgin brass at $50/100 and load it.

x 3 on that. Barring the white box Winchester, Maybe look into UMC (Remington) They are a bit cheaper than the normal Remington loads. They also use a 40 or 45 gr. HP pill
( can't remember which)They sell .22-250 UMC @ Bashaw Sports, and Remington brass is top notch.

Winchester Varmint packs with 40rounds are a great value for the money. $36 or close to it is what I paid last time. NowI have enough for reloads to go with the WS BST's factory ammo I shot also.

BBJ

Have to agree with you on the USMC stuff. Bought a couple of thousand loaded rounds in the bulk packs, in 223 50 grain HP to shoot gophers and make into brass. They were on a big sale, and about half to 2/3rds the price of virgin brass. Best they would do is 6 inches at 100 yards. Pulled bullets out of ten of them, was over 10 grains differnece in the weight of the bullets. Pulled a bunch more, same result. Reloaded those same rounds with 40 grain blitzkings and 50 grain SPSXs and they cloverleaf at 200 yards. Brass, powder and primers are fine, but the bullets they were loaded with were crap. Must have been designed for rapid fire plinking in ARs or mini 14s.

Did the same with the rest by replacing them with Blitzkings. I also sorted the pulled bullets into .5 grain lots. The pulled bullets, reloaded in matched groups shoot okay, but this didn't turn out to be quite as cheap or work free shooting as I had counted on. : Still, ended up with a pile of good brass at the end of it.
