On Sylvan Lake the store would have to be 6 stories high so that you could see it behind the new toilets they are building on the beach.

Default Not an outhouse I hope

As long as it's a toilet it will be OK, a 6 story high outhouse would be kinda rough for the guy on the ground floor...a lotta falling shrapnel. Make sure you wear a hat when you go in there, preferably someone else's hat.

The Cabelas there is not a good representation of the Cabelas name. I visited the store while in town for a Iron Maiden concert. It seems all they did was put "Cabelas" over "S.I.R" and call it a day. Be like putting "Cabelas" over "Wholesale sports" and saying : Here is Cabelas, Yay!. How is the Cabelas at the defr warehouse looking?

The only way i would drive to Edm for Cabelas is if they had "in store pick up".
Cabelas.ca sucks and has about 1/100 of the stuff .com has. Its almost easier just ordering it and getting it shipped to my door.

It will be built in Edmonton and be bigger and better than your bass pro in Calgary. The pride of the building will spread to the Oiler's and Eskimo's and they will play better than your teams. Then that same pride will make our units grow to twice the size as your small southern units.

Is that how its done?

LOL! That was a good job you did there.
I think the Defehr Store is just a warehouse to service the retail outlets quickly. I thought I heard the stores were going to be smaller and fairly plain. Anyone else?

I hope not, if your going to do it,do it right. Give me a reason to go there when I come to town. The one in Grand Forks is like a tourist atraction.People go there just to see the mountain and fish tanks. That's the way it shoud be.

The day they open up will be the day prices start dropping all over town. WSS and fishing hole could both use some price adjustments IMO.

I don't care where in Alberta it is. I live in the West Kootenays and will shop where ever they build it. At present I drive to Post Falls Idaho to get into a Cabela's. Rather leave the money in Canada.

I highly doubt that. We sure didn't see any smashing price drops when Bass Pro moved in. Sure they have some sales, but for the most part their prices are matcted and in some cases higher than other Canadian retailers.

Two more stores? I wonder if that means two in Alberta or two more in Canada? Interesting.

Don't get too fired up yet.

I was going through the Houston airport a few weeks ago and got all jazzed up when I saw they had a Bass Pro in the terminal complex! I had an hour or two to kill so I hopped on the monorail and headed down three terminals, then got off and started walking... and walking.... Finally get there and what do I see? A store that is perhaps 300 square feet selling nothing but BP t-shirts and a couple pieces of carry on luggage.

357,
Saskatoon? Would vancouver, Edm/calgary not be better since there is already a store in winnipeg?
