Default Cabelas in Windermere!!

I just got word of Cabelas breaking ground with a 70,00sq ft store in Winderemere starting in July. I have seen the floor plans as the company I work for is doing the foundation design. I know I'm excited, take that Calgary!

Could you mean the Windermere Heights area off of the Anthony Henday freeway in Edmonton??
I could see that happening. There is a Best Buy and Huge Canadian Tire going into the area around Wal-Mart

Mind you, what you may have saw is a set of plans out for tender.

That really does not mean much other than enquiries being placed out there.

Some tradesmen, or engineers on the forum could explain this better.

I heard the same story on Friday from a sales person in the construction industry. I hope it's true.

When I was at BPS the other day the cashier at the fly stand was telling a guy that Cabelas bought land out by Calaway park. When Cabelas releases a press statment saying where they will open a store then I will believe it. But icking edmonton instead of Calgary would be like picking Oranges instead of Apples to make Apple juice. NO SENSE.

There probably wouldn't be enough customers for a Cabelas and Ass-Pro in Calgary, Edmonton is a good choice and it gives me another excuse for a road trip.

If it is all ford pickups you have been seeing, then you have been duped. Cabelas has a new special edition ford, kinda like the Eddie Bauer, King Ranch, Harley Davidson, etc.

From what I've heard, there's a huge '' deer foot meadows '' type complex potentially going out by Calaway park. Between rr 32 and rr33, everyone is waiting for the county to approve it, one of the store mentioned was Cabella's along with numerous others. The county made a delay on there decision, and that way perhaps Cabella's hasn't announced there locations yet.
that's just my rumor i heard.
