Default Is nickelled 223 brass easily available?

I am considering a second 223 rifle. I prefer fire formed cases for reloading. To segregate the two rifles loads nickelled brass would be easy and ideal.

Further research suggests problems with nickel cases. Brittleness, flaking, and short life, opinions?

Never did comparison testing with 223, but I did with the yellow and nickel plated stuff using Fed Gold Medal 308. With moderate loads, I started getting neck splits sooner with the nickel plate and discarded yellow after 13 reloads and nickel after 11. I never had any issues with flaking, scratched dies, etc as some reported.
If you FL size, the fireform rationale does not really come into play. I personally have not noticed any significant downrange performance difference between FL and NS reloads. Granted, NS requires less case prep and may also extend case life a bit.

I have reloaded nickel as well for decades with no issues.

Some mixed results here. I've found it to be a PITA for some of the reasons mentioned.
If you want to segregate, do it by head stamp. W-W for one and Remington in the other for example.

Seems some have concerns and some don't. I've decided to not bother after all. Thanks.

How do others handle this?
