It usually kills off most of the fish every year. They normally
stock in May. I can't wait.

Default Late Stocking for 2011

This years stocking program is running late due to late spring and waiting ice out
At some of the local trout ponds.

I wonder why the pond next to my house has an aerator and there is no fish and we are not allowed to fish in it anyways.

Why ponds with stocked fish like Beaumont does not have aerator?

I know there has to be a reason, can somebody educate me?

Other than cost and safety...it probably just needs someone to kick start the initiative. Get 10 guys on this board that think the same way. Each one gets 10 buddies to write in. They approach the powers that be to propose aerating. Take to the meeting the size of lake surface area and volume. Check with Fish and Game group that did Muir and see what aerator would work best. Cost out materials, labour and volunteer time required. Them submit written proposal with a petition of names in agreement.

Fastest way to fix a problem is present the solution at the same time.

IMHO

Done deal...

Beaumont pond doesn't winterkill as bad as you'd think actually. But this year it looks to have been devastated. I saw a lot of fish by the shore, walking around. A LOT. Big ones and small ones too. Also a number of carp.

Did not believe you about the carp, so i took a walk around myself. Yep you were right. I only saw the one but man there were dead trout everywhere. Sucks, cause i live like 2 min from this little pond. Was my after work go to. Well have to wait for the restock and see how they fair out this year. An other thing that ****ed me off was all the Garbage from people. Lots of fishing hole bags and worm containers, not to mention plastic bags and bottles......
