Default Man Cub's First Archery Success

Had to post this... out shooting targets at a friends acreage north of Airdrie when we start seeing gophers. A LOT of gophers. 4 years I've been target shooting out there, and last year was the first time I ever saw any (though only two). Sure shows how much the little buggers can reproduce - we saw upwards of 50 of the damn things...
Anyway, I shot one, and my ten year old (Matty) was all excited to give it a go.

After 4-5 near misses, he finally stuck two back to back.

He's been sending pictures to everyone he knows. So proud of himself. Definitely built up his confidence - he had been getting discouraged that he wasn't improving as fast as he had hoped.

You have the perfect opportunity to introduce Matty into bow hunting.

Those gofers could be skinned out and offered up to other's on this site
for dubbing fur for tying flies. Matty could learn about fly fishing from these
folks and do the same, make some friends.

Just a thought. :-)

Youtopia thing ?
Not really just a plain and simple life and knowing what's real.
