Default Timney triggers?

Tossing the idea of installing a timney on my .300 wm. has anyone else done this and what sort of results did you get? Worth the money?

Done a bunch on different rifles over the years, great triggers.
Timney or Bold are the ones I go to when doing a Mauser up, and I have done Remingtons with them as well.

Default Trigger

Have done tons of them and have never had issues with them, I also have a few jewel triggers a bit more money but same thing easy to install and adjust.

My son put a Timney in his old Vanguard and he really likes it!

I also put a Timney in my Vanguard Sub MOA. Absolute night and day difference. Breaks clean at 2 1/8 lbs. No creep at all. To say I love it is an understatement.

I know Dick really likes a certain brand of trigger that is a little less money than the Timney or Jewel but I can't remember the name of them. Maybe he will swing by and reply.

Got a fair number of Timney's in rifles. Great triggers. I don't bother with them in Remingtons though. Rod at Henrickson Gunsmithing has tweeked all of my Remington triggers.

I havn't tried Bold or Jewel but have a cpl of Canjar's and a cpl of Keplingers which work just fine too.

Hmm, wondering if they make a trigger for an M14? Would be a nice upgrade to the junky one in there now.

I prefer the Shilen trigger to the Timney, but you have to source your own safety and bolt release with Shilen.

I have a couple of timney triggers and I think that they are well worth the $120 each (shipped) that I paid for them. I purchased online direct from Timney. That was the best deal that I could find.

Looks like that is a thing of the past... from Timney's web site:

You don't think it's worthwhile to swap it into a Remington?

I've put them into 4 different Remingtons, and now my Vanguard Sub Moa. Timney triggers are awesome and definitely worth putting into a Remington. They can be a little tricky to put into the 700 action. Make sure you have the right equipment and watch a Youtube video on it...I learned a few little tricks through the videos that saved me a lot of time.
