Default Old vs New (CZ .22's)

Looking to buy a CZ for silouette shooting.

Not looking to break the bank, I've been told factory triggers suck on them. Is this so with the new 455?

452 or 455 which to pick?

Can't find a whole bunch of info on sites like Rimfire central comparing the two. I have found some and the majority points toward the older 452. However I would like to utilize the ability of the 455's barrel swap thing( haven't read a whole bunch so if its just something to sell the product please tell me) anyway for an extra 200$ I could have a 17 hmr aswell.

I know there's a cz thread already but didn't want to high jack it.
Suggestions, recommendations? Thanks

Default choices

I have had several CZ's and not any the triggers were so bad that they ' sucked'. In the 452 the is a 20.00 fix with a Yodave trigger kit. Now I have never shot a 455 but for a lot more info I'd check out the CZ forum on rimfire central. FS

I had a 452 with open sights and loved it. Very accurate rifle.

This is the answer for the CZ trigger, it works extremely well, simple to install.

For silhouette go with the 453 or 452. The interchangeable barrels on the 455 is a nice feature but they don't seem to group quite ass tight as the 452s. If you are going full competition check out the Anschutz model 64 Biathlon rifle. Not much more money and they shoot great.

I bought a CZ455 and put a 3x9x40 Nikon Prostaff scope on it with bdc recticle. It is a great rifle and super accurate. No trigger issues either.

I have never seen a number 5 that wasn't nice, mine is nice and know a guy in Calgary that has one with fantastic wood and a thick hair trigger, like shooting a Jewel. FS
