Default Bullet direction change

So I shot my deer the other day with a 300 win. He was on a slight angle and it hit right in his rotator cuff. And changed direction so radically it came out his ribs 6" or so down.
I figure the 300 would punch right through. Has anything similar happened to anyone before.
Was a clean kill 30yard dropped.

Last year I shot a mature doe with a .270. She was about 30 yards away and it should have been a double lung shot with a clean exit, but the bullet must have ricocheted off a rib or something because after destroying the lungs the bullet cut straight through the body opening up the guts and exiting just before the hind quarter.

Upsetting, but got the meat home in time and it still tasted good!

A few years back I shot a mule deer ranged at 280 yards down in a coulee. He was facing to my left and away. I hit him between the shoulder blades and he dropped like a rock. Bullet hit spine and changed direction followed spine backwards, hit hip and ended up in left back leg about 4 inches above knee just blow the skin. 300 win mag also.
