Great bull congrats!

What was wrong with the other 23 bulls?
Must be nice to live and hunt in good elk country!

A big old bull in hunted country is a master of survival. He bugles to locate other bulls and hunters so he can avoid them. He patterns you. He can't be called in and he want you to respond to his call, so he can pick an alternate route. One of the only ways to get him is to intercept the harem he has between feed and bed. It posses a problem when they can eat right handy to where they sleep. You gotta stick with them every day , it's a real game of cat and mouse.
Sounds like you have a great spot with very good ratios of bulls and cows. Nice bull. Would love to here what calls your using if you wanna shoote a pm.
Congrats

It's always good to thin out the runts of the litter. Better luck on the big bull next time.

*Kidding* Beautiful animal.

24 bulls......??????

What. Thee. Hell. am I doing wrong? This has been the toughest, most frustrating season for me ever. Care to take me out? I'll shoot the smallest of barely legal bulls, I just want an elk!! lol

Congrats on a FINE animal!
