Default Challenging Elk

What is the best way to hunt elk in 7 billion mph winds?

I already talked to the mafia and got some cement shoes, I can compensate for the wind with my 270 (I gave it a pep talk, it's ready).

I had a good laugh at that response! We pulled out early there were way to many trees falling around our camp.

Wait till the wind quits. Elk are uneasy, mostly cause they can't sense danger, I think.

We were a bust all day today. Stupid wind. Almost got smooshed by a tree, that was exciting. Now its Happy Hour in Sexsmith, good nuff.

I had a day the wind was just howling, snow blowing sideways. bugled got a response, took three bugles before I knew what direction he was coming in from. set up bull stepped out and passed on him. sometimes it just comes together. not sure what a big heard bull would do in howling wind. this bull was about a 300 6x7 satellite. just try to stay down wind I guess, when the wind is swirling elk hunting becomes very hard.

A 300 6x7 satellite? Wow! I need to hunt where you do!
