Default Back from Northern B.C

Well I'm back early from Northern B.C. One week early because my hunting partner had a quading accident while there so we had to leave. He is ok, some stretched ligaments or tendons in his shoulder ( not sure which ). He got his grizzly and a nice one too, just shy of 7ft. I got my moose which was a good one, but was a part in the accident. I shot my moose and loaded what we could on our quads and headed back to camp ( about 14km ). On the way back was a ditched out old road that we had crossed many times empty but this time he had way too much meat on the back and ended up flipping the quad straight up only to be stopped dead vertically by the moose antlers strapped to the rear box. The front points of the rack dug into the dirt hard and the quad had to be winched back over on it's wheels. With many of you out the going to be putting game on quads this season, please take extra caution on weight distribution. We knew better but got caught up in the excitement of it all I guess.
Be safe everyone and good luck!

Not a computer wiz. Trying to figure out how to imbed a pic or two into the body of a message...Oh well.

Thanks for the pictures.

How old do you think that bull was?

Did you extract some teeth?

Time to let the youngsters in.

Good shoot.
