Default No Bull

Well today I got close and way too personal to a bull. I was looking for a few ruffies, on my 4 trax, when I came face to face with a bull that had a head the size of my Honda 300...well he was not moving. I stood up and inched ahead to show him I meant business. He started to blow, and paw the ground, just then a lump came in my throat. I put the fortrax in reverse for a fast retreat, well they don't have a fast reverse. I was able to turn on the trail and beat it out of there. I have been in many rough situations, but this too was one of them. Scared me eal good, to you cowboys out there, was I in as much danger as I thought?

You should have picked up a big stick and whacked him on the head. That usually makes them turn and run.

Likely less danger than a ruttin elk or moose, but they're still pretty unpredictable.

Had a herd of those bloody feral horses stand in front of the truck on our way home one evening last year and continue to lick the hood of the truck. Took them over 10mins to finally have enough. Funny stuff though.

Most places cull dangerous bulls because they make better hamburger than caves. Unless your on a massive and I mean massive!! 10,000+ acre free range pasture where they free graze it's unlikely he was that dangerous. They kinda rank left alone for the summer, but they need almost no human interaction .

Default Bull

I was metal detecting once in England and the owner had a waterbuffalo. The danged thing was fine in the daylight but I detected past that time and it was dark as I was leaving the field. The buffalo decided it didn't like me in the dark and started getting pretty aggressive but unbeknownst to him I had a nice big shovel. One whack between the eyes changed his mind and he allowed me to leave peacefully.

Or really ****ed him off. On foot, I'd have slowly backed off an put something solid btween him and me. Quad probably intimidates him some. Then again, some are just *******.

A DEA officer stopped at a ranch in Texas , and talked with an old rancher.
He told the rancher, "I need to inspect your ranch for illegally grown drugs."
The rancher said, "Okay , but don't go in that field over there.", as he pointed out the location.
The DEA officer verbally exploded saying, " Mister, I have the authority of the Federal Government with me !" Reaching into his rear pants pocket, he removed his badge and proudly displayed it to the rancher. "See this badge?! This badge means I am allowed to go wherever I wish.... On any land! No questions asked! Do you understand ?!!" The rancher nodded politely, apologized, and went about his chores. A short time later, the old rancher heard loud screams, looked up, and saw the DEA officer running for his life, being chased by the rancher's big Santa Gertrudis bull...... With every step the bull was gaining ground on the officer, and it seemed likely that he'd sure enough get gored before he reached safety. The officer was clearly terrified. The rancher threw down his tools, ran to the fence and yelled at the top of his lungs..... "Your badge, show him your BADGE!!"

Default Bull

Guys , with all the bear problems this year, just for the record more people have been killed by domestic bulls than bears.
