Default Where does everyone get their tires from?

There's more to Canadian Tire than tires...there's all the extra charges and fees for warranties. I am so sick of getting hosed on tire prices here. I just got a quote and they want 24 bucks a tire for mounting, 4 bucks per for nitrogen, another 7 for a warranty and then they add shop supplies yet!! 37.50 a tire for 10 minutes worth of work?

Don't get nitrogen, that's a scam in my opinion, regular air is approximately 75% or so nitrogen already. I have had good experience with Fountain Tire, free flat repairs and rotations if I recall correctly when you buy Good-Year tires. Usually have pretty good sales on as well if you watch for them.

I just put a new set of Michelins on my truck and Canadian Tire was the cheepest once all was said and done. I also checked Kal tire, Costco and a bunch of the smaller local tire shops in Lethbridge. From what I have been hearing though you can order tires for quite cheap in the states shipped to the border and then go pick them up. You still end up having to pay installation and all those other charges at a tire shop though if you want them to put them on for you so...

Tiretrends.com. Saved $300 over any place in Calgary for winter tires (17" Altimax Arctic) and rims (including delivery)!

Do they charge to dispose of the old tyres here?

And when some of the fine folks sell their tires here on AO, they buy new ones from Costco

Costco, or more recently down in Havre or Great Falls for significant savings!

Where I buy my tires depends on what type of tires that I want to buy. I run Goodyear Silent Armours on my truck so I wait for the annual 4 for 3 sale at Goodyear. Last year I had to buy tires for my daughter's car and I decided on Continentals. After calling around I found the best deal at Kal Tire. My wife's old Explorer gets cheap Goodyear Wranglers from Walmart because she gets a 10% discount for working there. My advice....Decide what kind of tires that you want to buy and then call around for a good deal. GL

Great guys, I have been buying my tires from them ever since they opened. Bought them from Grant when he was at White Line before he opened Stewart Tire.

I agree with HunterDave, I have been rolling with Good Year Silent Armour's for many years. Price, traction, tread life and zero road noise on these quality tires! Any GM Goodwrench dealer usually offer fantastic deals on all brands for any make of vehicle.

The best place to get tires is Costco. But, I agree with previous posts, nitrogen fill is a total ripoff.
