Default Elbow River-city section redd count today.

I saw many dedicated volunteers today walking the city section, downstream of Glenmore dam counting redds as well as collecting garbage from the river.
One gentleman leading the group told me they counted over 100 reds in this area so far! It sounded promising.
Maybe, if the powers that be don’t screw with the levels of the river so radically, as I have personally witnessed, some redds wouldn’t run dry!

As the group passed by, I thanked them for their contributions and efforts.
The weather of the day was with them. Although, my hips hurt just watching them slog endlessly downriver over the difficult and slippery riverbed.
