Maybe that's why you guys haven't won the cup in the last 52 years, unique priorities. Or maybe you just shoot low, so it helps numbs the pain when you lose to Boston in the first round.

1 cup vs 11 cups total there big guy. Hopefully the flames don't lose in the first round like last year again. But lets be realistic last time the flames won was in 1989... that's 30 years and counting 30 vs 52 both pretty long droughts.

My bad. Carry on with treating beating the Flames as a greater achievement than winning the cup then.

In hindsight, it may be your season high, they are a pretty good team....

Both are good teams to be fair. Id love to see both or either playing for the cup in the finals, if they make it far. Been a long time for both teams to be potential contenders. 2004 for the flames and 2000 for the leafs?

If it is Leafs vs Flames finals ill put $50 down if your in.

Think they will get by Boston?

I'm really hoping the Flames stay in 1st so Vegas and San Jose can beat each other up.

Deal!

I hope so, but probably not, stranger things have happened. I do see the Flames at least beating the Wild if nothing changes.. Half the battle is like you said teams beating each other up the before the next round starts.

Realistically I see San Jose finishing 1st...we will have to slug it out with Vegas methinks

Hardly *jaded*....nothing is quite as much fun as watching the TSN boys, along with Hogtown cry in their beer when their beloved Leafs (once again) fail. The problem is, we’ll have to listen to the whining and analysis ad nauseum until next season begins...oh, well, small price to pay.

I'm predicting 107 pts. I think we'll stay ahead of them. It would seem our schedules is quite a bit lighter.

I should of known their would be a lot of you but hurt fans on here today. Ill leave y'all alone now i'm sure you could be using this time to figure out where your going to find a goalie that doesn't belong in the AHL before the playoffs start. Big Save Dave hahahahaha

A couple of Leafs fans blew in here???

Amazing. I find it surprising actually. I would have guessed that after Boston scored 3 goals in 11 minutes to steal a game 7 from you. (Also known as The biggest and best choke in the history of all sports since the very very beginning of time) and then to lose it in OT. (Did I mention you were up by 2 with 90 seconds to go?)

Well, glad to see your over it and back to being the low life fans of the league. Kinda thought that the Islanders were but you guys are proving that you in fact are the champs.

Pucker up leaf fans, Bruins look why better than you at this point and they do have the whole history thing going for them.

How is it going to feel to have to call them your "Daddy" once again? all these hopes and dreams of the cup being back in TO only to see them blown up 6 games into a 28 game tournament...

Perhaps this time Boston won't put sand in the vaseline as they have their way with you? One can only hope.

Well if you want to bring up examples just look how bad flames records are against the Ducks in the playoffs... 2015 and 2017 both lost to the ducks. Thats gotta hurt just as much as the leafs losses. Only differences leafs are actually playing in the division with the best teams, where the flames are in the toughest/most competitive division. Tough to compare the two.

Also that loss against Boston was a biproduct of Calgary - that ugly overpaid bastard Dion Phaneuf!

Thats why we gave him away. He sucks. Thanks for taking him.

And no, the ducks issue is NOTHING compared to the lifetime achievement award you guys managed with 11 minutes left.... and with 90 SECONDS left....

Besides we solved our issue

Haha im glad I commented on this thread today. Its hard to believe that Flames fans can get so worked up so easy, actually no its not. Although I guess id be on edge to after last years epic collapse and state of your team right now to.

Smith or No Save Dave? Who will let in the softer goal to lose a playoff series?

We only play twice a year. Cant see any reason to check this thread besides then, seems pretty logical actually.

It just ended up making me feel bad for y'all and your wishful thinking though

Rather Flames-Habs
If Boston doesn’t, Tampa surely will.

Find it funny either of these two clowns, never stopped by when we played each other in October. Wonder why that was?? Or why they waited till after the game was over last night, before showing up?? If they wanted to talk hockey why not show up and start yappin before the game?? Anyways typical crap fans that have to wait till a win, before running in throw a few sucker punches and the run away. LOL Upside won't see them for a while now..

So onto new business, Vegas I feel is a must win game so we hold confidence and show we can still hang with the big boys. I don't think we played horrible last night just horrible puck luck and not a single bounce. Where they had two fluke goals for sure. Anderson stoned us when we were putting on the pressure, so the scorers need to get it going again. BSD has me concerned as the games are becoming more important and he is not holding up. Smith can carry us for the most part as long as he stays in his net, and doesn't get carried away with commentators referring to him as a third D-man.

Haha I showed up when you started to whine about goals that shouldn’t of counted. It won’t be long until you fellas are falling off the bandwagon once again. It wasn’t that long ago they were giving away seats to the games.

Since 89 how many playoff series have the Flames won anyway?
