Default Confirm firearm ID

Hey fellas,
Just wanted to confirm one perticular firearm.

My father passed down two rifles his father owned and has now passed down to me.

The first I'm pretty sure is a 1913 model 94, it has a missing bolt or screw on the right reciver which I'm thinking was a saddle ring? Any guys confirm that for me?

The second is a savage model 1899 ? I think? Its pretty beat up and I know my grandfather owned it after the war, but probably before.

Thanks fellas,

Cool family heirlooms. Definitely worth taking care of and taking hunting on days with the right weather.

Default what caliber

Is the Savage in? Looks like both forend and stock has been repaired/crossbolts which hurts the value. Is it D+T'd for a scope?

Not drilled or tapped. It's a .303.

Forend and stock are in poor condition. Gramps appeared to have attempted to save the stock where a large crack is by placing a brace in with screws.

Hard to tell from here, is it a take down ?

Grizz

I don't think it is Grizz, to be honest I'm lost to what it is.. I think the takedowns have a checkering in the trigger. This doesn't. I've got PMs indicating both 1895s as well as a 99.

I think I still have a few boxed of 303 savage ammo. I had a lot more but went a little trigger happy a couple years ago. I love those old levers!

303 Savage brass should be available from Tradex, Budget Shooter Supply, Rusty Wood Trading company, and probably other places (usually runs around $1 per case if you buy 100). Factory ammo is uncommon and the price is outrageous.
