Default Back from Africa

The wife and I got back from Namibia on Sunday afternoon. We had a wonderful time at Christie's Adventures. I was fortunate enough to take some great animals and experiencing Africa was more than I expected. I'll be back in a few years.

Enjoy the pics.

Sighting in the first day there.

A Monitor Lizard that wanted to have his picture taken.

First blood. A gold medal gemsbok, I love the coloring of these guys.

A nice old blue Wildebeest. These guys are tasty!!

'Nuff said.

Enjoying one of our first nights there.

Me and uncle Scruffy.

My PH J.P. and I with a nice Springbok.

My impala that the vultures found before we did. I shot at this guy the night before and he ran off with the rest of the herd unfazed. We looked for blood and nothing. Found a mark on a branch where my bullet hit and we figured a clean miss. The next day we see a bunch of vultures 500 yards off go and investigate and found him.

A gold medal eland. The best eating!! These guys are big and tough, very fun to hunt.

Wartie.

Jackal.

Great pics. Thanks for sharing. I've never been interested in Africa, but everyone who goes seems to say they're returning.

It's like heroin, can't do it just once.

If you go you won't regret it, I can guarantee that.

Thanks for sharing those pics. Looks like a super great time.
Out of curiousity, what caliber rifle do you use on a hunt like this?

Nice pics! I agree completely, Africa is very addicting. Namibia or Mozambique are next for me. I have a buddy that hunted with Christie's Adventures a few years ago before his accident. He had a great time!

Great shots!

Your comment on how tough the animals are, and that they run off seemingly unfazed was my experience as well.

I highly recommend that EVERYONE goes to Africa at least once in their lifetime

Beauty!

That guy with the hat looks like a hunting machine. Noble and likely left handed.

Wow!
To say I am a little jealous would be an understatement.
Great pictures and story, even better you get to share those memories with the misses.

It was our 10th anniversary in March and this trip was out anniversary present to each other. No kids for 3 weeks.

She doesn't hunt and Africa is a great place to go with someone that doesn't, lot's to do other than hunting. She went out to the coast for a few days with my sister and went on the ocean, rode a camel and went sky diving. For some odd reason she wanted to jump out of a completely good airplane. She really enjoyed herself.

Talking Back from Africa

Yo, Chuck !

You are a funny man !! As a matter of fact, I broke my left handed gray laminated 375 Ruger on this trip ... great to see my nephew hunting in Africa - such a passion of mine most of my adult life ...

Came home to find that I had drawn my F300 bull moose tag ... and today I start paying off my big airplane ticket bill so that I can make it back to Christie's in May or June of 2016 ... my lady is still working on that leopard ..

Scruffy
