Cabela's Edmonton North has Varget in stock, at least they did earlier today. If they still have some and you call they will hold it for you for the day.

We were in the South Cabellas yesterday fir a bit, my son asked what they had for powder . An 8 pounder of 4350 there worked put to $85a pound !
I bought the last 300 Berger70 and 75 grain .223 bullets and left the powder .

Inflation gonna be brutal. I got Varget at $77 a pound a month ago. Now it's even more.

TTSX bullets up about 10% in last month, if you can find them.

All that free money being printed out of thin air and given away by Feds isn't free.

There's 2, 8 lb containers of 4350 in the buy and sell for $850 each. Makes the cabelas powder look like it's on sale lol.

80 a pound for IMR 4198, crazy. Not much choice but to buy it when available. Good thing I still have cheap bullets from when I stocked up about 5 years ago for my 45-70. Offsets the cost.

One thing to remember with Cabellas is they will price match online competition from all across Canada. I saved $3.50 a box last month on SK standard. Have saved on firearms as well doing that. Items have to be in stock to price match.

Odd. I haven't had much of a problem finding ttsx at all. .277 130's, .284 150's, and .308 180's. Just getting lucky maybe.

We use 308 168gr and 7mm 120gr and 139gr for TTSX/TSX.

We found some Hornady GMX in .30/165gr and 7mm/140gr instead. They work pretty much the same as TTSX when we loaded them up and tried them.

Same. Seems like a bargain vs some of the pricing I see out there. Glad I grabbed RL 17 & 22 at $55 per lb a couple of weeks back too.

If you buy 8 lbs in 1 lb bottles, it is cheaper

I paid $335 for 8lbs last fall, and that felt bad.

I agree. But I still bought some... got to feed them. Prices may never come down. I am just happy I found some.

8lb Varget is in stock. That’s way too much for myself. But if someone was looking to sell a pound of it in the Calgary area I would be interested.

I have been reloading since the day I bought my first centre fire rifle. I probably load 100 rounds a year but would like to shoot more.

^ Cool. I, for some reason, was sure you were buying the Barnes Vor-tx (which is what I am going to do now because I got that Finnlight in 7-08). I was actually going to ask you if you recently bought any and for how much and where, lol. They run about $4 and change per shot nowadays. Womp womp… I still have about… 5-ish boxes of Hornady American Whitetail (Interlock) and 1 or two boxes of Federal Fusion left from the other rifle I sold, but was hoping to move to monolithic with the new rifle. We will see, I guess.

P. S. We might end up being somewhat “neighbours” in not so distant future, so you will have to teach me a thing or two as far as reloading goes. Maybe we will even shoot more together, lol.
