Default Its almost elk time!!

Most legal bulls are out of velvet, the rag horns are with the cows. They're starting to bugle. Best get your chit together.

17 days!! But they won't be bugling in my area yet. Last year wasn't until the 15th when they got active. The day before we left. However, we know where their living room is. Gonna be some party crashing soon

called in a nice 6x5 yesterday morning
he was with 23 cows and calves
to bad there is no elk season in this zone where I called him in
3 miles from the MB boarder sask side

Still over 3 months before I go for elk.........elk hunting is second only to sheep for me.
Good luck to any and all chasing them this year!!!

Argghh ! I'm in Australia, I miss the pre hunt feeling already.
Trying to get back for November tho.
Maybe hanging at the beach will take my mind off it.
