Rod is a very good gunsmith, and a great metal worker. He is actually a formally trained smith. Some days he can be a little difficult to deal with according to some folks, never had a problem with him personally. Be aware that he only takes cash, minimum charge is $100 no matter how small the job. Pretty quick turn around most of the time. Depending on make of Lever and what needs to be done, there may be better options but you would have to send the gun to them, none are in Edmonton.

I'm going to get some work done to my Browning BPS. Decided to give Rod a try, thanks to a quick search on AOF to give me guidance into finding a well reputable gunsmith.

Had a great experience doing business with Rod. He had my shotgun fixed and ready for pick up the same day. Was a pleasure to deal with, and we had a few good conversations as well.

I've used Rod a few times as well. Honest, reliable and fairly priced. Cannot go wrong.

I can agree with that statement as well. Crusty sometimes, but frank.

I've used Randy at Sights and Arms in St.Albert - he's really good too, I'd recommend reaching out to him.

Rod worked on my model 88, which I consider a family heirloom. Great work, quick turn around, and fair price. He doesn’t spare feelings but gave good advice on preventing further issues. Highly recommend him.
