Freezer Bull! yay!
Got a nice 2 year old freezer bull (moose) this morning. Good eating for the winter.. 
Tweaked my back loading it, had to quarter and haul almost 100 yards to where we could get truck...muddy and nasty, but it is all better with a whisky in the glass and still daylight...3 hours from 'boom' to cooler...

Can't seem to load picture, but at this point...I don't care. It's not a big black trophy, it's just some great eats. Oh well, glad I filled the tag, and freezer!

Yup, pretty pleased. Pressure off now. Can look for a nice WT buck during rut in November, and have draw for late season cow elk as well, so I can enjoy it now. But good Lord, does my back hurt!!

I have another month to go before I start. I hope the snow holds off for a couple of weeks after that. Some mean hills between me and my hunting area.

Thanks bud! I'm pretty sure you will connect, you have some good area to hunt. The hard work is part of the process though....
My bull was #410 hanging, and didn't blow any good meat away either. Pretty pleased now. Wasn't so happy 4 hours ago, but got it done.

Yes, I suppose so. I can hardly walk today. I'm looking forward to eating the 25lbs of jerky, I will chew slow and savor every bite, and remember what it cost..
