I just get a radio from pick your part. Probably easier and just as cheap as trying to track down the lights.

I had to replace a few behind the cluster in my 95/ F-150. Just go to the dealer, they are cheap. I ended up doing my whole dash lights since I had it opened up anyway.

Lights have to be replaced by a tech. Cost you about $100 to $150. Take the radio to an electronics repair shop, not GM as they send it out and it cost even more.

I knew almost instantly the make a model of vehicle you were referring to. I have a 1997 Chevy 1/2 ton as well. I've lost most of the lights on my radio too. I've grown used to it honestly. Its WAY more work to fix them compared to just getting one out of a wrecked truck. You have to use tiny, nimble fingers to solder and replace the bulbs. I looked into this.

Since you'd have to pull the radio anyways---> Search Kijiji, there will be someone parting out a suburban, chevy/gm pickup, tahoe, yukon and maybe vans?? I can't imagine it being more than $50??

The smartest thing to do would be not to fix it as it will be a reoccuring problem. The LED lights used are realy crapy and the Delco deck it quite weak as a whole. For the same money, you can find a way better player (1.5 din) with a USB plug in for memory stick. The AC Delco deck is an odd-ball size (1.5 din) you would have to replace it with on that size. Pioneer make a good one.... Also, they make wireing plugs for that model truck so you won`t have to chop wires up (15$). You will also have to buy and antena fiting. (9$)

A pro can install it in 1/2 an hour. It may take you 1 hour at the most....check out Youtube....
