Default Locating Structure with a Deeper Sonar

Deeper Castable Sonar has many uses and when you're out on the aluminum or lacking an installed fish finder the Deeper comes in very handy. It fits in your pocket and sends a wireless signal to your phone in real time. Here is how I located a piece of structure using my Deeper to find the spot on the spot and start to nail walleye one after another.

Fishing with an ugly stick rod and the Piscifun Honor Reel. Lure selection was a VMC jig and a leech. 20 pound brain mainline and 10 pound fluorocarbon leader.

That's the sonar I hope to upgrade to sometime.

I love that you can cast it out from shore. I'm going to map the layout of all my favorite fishing spots!

Does it work for ice fishing too?

Oh Man does it ever work good for ice fishing! Here is an ice fishing review if you care to see the ice slay with it, haha.

Actually I dropped it in first time off a dock and I quickly reacted and grabbed it before it even sunk a foot.

Then I was ice fishing and dropped it down the hole after taking a picture of a fish. 22 feet of water under 2 feet of ice. Went back the next day... well watch the video and you'll see.

Never dropped one in while fishing with a Deeper though.

Also the phone I have is water proof... or was. One of the tabs broke so next time she's a goner.

I have yet to have mine go in the water but have had too many close calls, especially ice fishing.

The water proof cases are great. But I would still have to get it off the bottom which is particular tough during the hard water season.

I'm taking my deeper salmon fishing at the end of the week to see how good it works on the rivers. Wish me luck
