I'd sacrifice my soul to know. Such an evil thing to ask.

Ok, well bb356 is very much out to lunch. However, take Weedy1's clue seriously, in fact he nailed it right on the money by PM. Ok, so any more guesses?

I see human legs sticking out the bottom and a human-ish face at the top of its head, though the face also looks like any number of animals. MGM staff party costume?

No. Their fist album which featured the cover in my avatar was simply called "Santana". It was released in 1969. Their 2nd album released in 1970 was "Abraxas".

Hey no worries friend. As per your latest post, I too enjoy a variety of music. Right from Italian Opera, old school country (I don't much like the new stuff). The 80's were real bad for me with the disco stuff. The 60's and 70's were clearly my favourites. Pink Floyd (only the Dark side of the moon album). Some Queen stuff, Led Zeppelin (no matter what), Triumph were awesome, Joe Cocker (the real king). Jethro Tull (espicially Locomotive Breath). Oh, I could name so many. But there is one that has been an absolute killer. I even introduced my wife (who is a fan of girly stuff by the Beatles) to this band. I'll leave it as such until you all ask. But it does take someone of a special appreciation.
