Default Old pump shotgun identification help

Hello and good morning

I've spent about an hour looking through old pictures of a particular old pump shotgun I'm looking for. It was used for waterfowl had a wooden stock and for end but the unique thing I remember about it is that the slide release button was not typical and was actually more of a button than just a serrated flat thin bar. If I remember correctly the slide release button was on the left behind the trigger guard in right handed set up. Hopefully I explained this properly... This perticular shotgun model was owned by my grandfather and the first gun I shot. I'd really like to find a replica of it as its been lost in the family tree somewhere.

Thanks Tinda

That's the one! Thank you for the help

My grand dad sure was fast with this thing and has to be a good one if he owned it. So the search begins...

There are lots of model 12s available. Priced from 200 to 2000 depending on original finish level and unique attrivutes. Just remember these were made before steel shot. If you want to use it on migratory you may want to get a spare sacrafical barrel or buy a new barrel that will take steel.
