Credit to the Kings… they came into OT to play. Oilers somehow got it into their heads between periods that it was now preseason? Woof.

I can honestly say I’m shocked they came out so flat after the come back
In the 3rd. That’s the result when you watch the play coming at you,. Keith has been brutal as of late. The better team won 3.5 periods tonight and we won .5. Gotta be better

They were outplayed again for all but 15 minutes, you can't play 15 minutes and expect to win a game, not in the playoffs, better find another gear on Thursday or it's adios amigo for the boy's

I'm reading some chatter than Nurse may be suspended for next game. I obviously didn't watch the game but did he head butt someone? If I can't find any replays it makes me think it's not that big of a deal....

Well fellas, what’s the pucker factor like in here this morning?
I have to ask what was Kane doing last night? All them slap fights after the whistle, just taking dumb penalties. Nurse with that head but?? He has to get a game for that I would figure. Do these “key” players not realize the importance of these games?? Kane has done so much good, then last night either LA got the best of him or something. Anyways that has to stop obviously, or could be a long flight home next game.

Lack of effort in my opinion. For a few years now this has been an issue. Hopefully woodcroft can get it through to them before he gets fired and the whole merry go round starts again. The players are quoted they didn’t like Tippett because he just told them to work harder and didn’t go into details about the game. Well maybe once they started working harder he would have went into the details? They will never know now I guess lol. You can have details about structure and gap, shooting percentage video footage of opposition players weaknesses etc up the wazoo but if you get outworked every puck battle and take stupid penalties it helps nothing.
Though I like Smith I don’t think that OT goal was exactly excellent goalie work either. There again need consistency as well.

There is no doubt that the Oilers are a good team, however they are definitely not a playoff team. What's with all the turnovers? Do the Oilers enjoy passing so much that if they don't have a team mate to pass it to, they'll simply pass the puck to the opposition? Note to Oilers, unless you have #97 or #29 on the back of your jersey, no look and backhand passes are forbidden.
Smith is no spring chicken, and although he is a competitor his team mates hang him out to dry constantly. Duncan Keith is also showing his age. Bouchard looks absolutely terrified out there, and is playing exactly like Bear did in 2020.

So some pretty interesting games in this series, but wow, when will it be Edmonton’s time. I live in Edmonton when Gretzky, Messier and the gang were winning Stanley Cups, but moved to the B.C. Coast in 84” I must have taken the good vibes with me because it’s been a rough road ever since.
This crew, on paper should win. And here’s hoping that they do. Go Oilers!

I think he intended to hit him, but with his shoulder and misjudged the height difference and distance - I think a fine will be more likely than and suspension based on what we've seen this season and Nurses track record.

Who knows with player safety, spin the wheel. That said, I think you can count the number of players on 1 hand that have had a hearing and not got a suspension.
There was a headbutt earlier this year, Can't remember who, but pretty sure he got 2 games for it.
A betting man says nurse gets 1 playoff game for it.

Have you every heard of the result of a hearing being a fine? I don't believe I have. I feel he's certainly going to get suspended, how long is the question. Buchnevich got two for his, I feel Nurse's was more aggreges, but it's the playoffs, guessing he's going to get 1 game.

So Nurse gets lucky only 1 game.Just a quick note I have said it many many times on here that Draisaitl needs to go 5 on 5 absolutely horrible in his own end.He consistently has no idea where the hell he is going in his own end.He has over the past 5 years been told so many times how good he is offensively he could not give a flying fff in his own end.Fans only worried about pts well so is he -3 in the series thank god got some points thanks to McDavid who knows where his plus/minus would be.Points easy to come by in regular season every year he struggles in playoffs cause you have to play defense first and he can not do it.If you doubt it just watch all the highlights from this series and watch his effort and awareness in his own end it will open your eyes.

Total lack of back check effort from 97 on winner too.
I get that he’s the driver of the bus and they don’t even get to overtime without him but come on Connor, you gotta really want to win. That lack of defensive effort says otherwise.

The real crime is people believing Nurse is a first pairing Dman.
There is nothing wrong with the forwards or the goalie. Good Dmen shut down a cycle and these guys just can't do it.
