After last night's loss to a bottom dweller, I would not be surprised to see a change in coaches. There are at least two proven good coaches out there right now (Gallant and Laviolette). I'd use that card asap before things slip away. Team is seriously underachieving for the talent on the roster in my opinion I bet Tre is in talks with one or both.

That's usually what happens, the coach takes the fall because you can't fire the whole team, when they fired Bill Peters and Ward took over the players said it was like a breath of fresh air, the dressing room was loose and fun again, they started what 7 - 0 under Ward ?? how quickly things change, their stars are lacking effort and slacking off, maybe they want Ward out ?? they are sure playing like it.
There was a rumor before the whole Bill Peters thing blew up that players like Johnny hockey and Gio a few more wanted Peters gone, and they were playing like it.
Being an Oilers fan I don't mind what's happening in Flame land, we watched it in Edmonton to years, changed coaches so often you needed a score card to remember who the coach was.

Seem to recall an Edmonton reporter saying that you can expect 10 good games after a coaching change and then after that, it goes back to what it was. Happened when Edmonton got Hitchcock was most recent example.

Might be good hockey if the league rotated coaches every month....

Default Flames

I could see the Flame, bringing in a new coach, because Ward seems to be in way over his head.
I wouldn’t mind seeing a few minor trades, like move on from Sam, Jankowski and Czarnik. I don’t think management will approve of anything major, that could effect revenue, should we make the playoffs. I would have liked us to be able to move on from Hammer, but that seems unlikely now that he is injured.

You should go back a couple pages, most of us were happy to see a couple games with a full 60 minutes efforts, as well as guys stepping up to cover big injuries. I don't remember seeing "we got this", it was more along the lines of that's great but we need to see more of it, and remains to be seen if there was some turning of the teams play.
I thought guys were looking at it all pretty fairly..

I agree with this, I am not sold on Ward full time. Like you said proven coaches available, go get them. All this coaching changes in one season is not a recipe for success, but were not competing for the cup at this point anyways so go for it.

You are right, but 10 good games will absolutely be the difference between a playoff spot which earns the owners millions, and golfing on the courses the Oilers can recommend from past experience.

I always say, there is time to crow after the win....when you been following and cheering for Flames since 1980, you learn to not call for a win beforehand, it will bite you in the arse every time. At least that is my experience.

Man it's been a long 40 years, waiting.....waiting.....

Another late Cali game, lets hope they were embarrassed by last night's game, and come out with better tonight. I don't know what it is with Kings they seem to always have our ## No matter the record. We haven't done great in Anaheim in the past but last few games have been better so one more tonight.
Lighting need to stop toying with the Oil, they should be up by 2 by now. Let go Lighting.

Don't know if the Oiler's could have played them at a better time with Kucherov, Stamkos, Cirelli, and McDonagh out.

WTH is wrong with this guy. He needs to be removed from the game before he hurts somebody badly.

According to the code, he needs to be kicked in the chest next time they play.
I think he will get some games for that one. It's not like Drai did it.

Seen that, good night to bring a solid effort. Glad to see some battle back, after that mess last night.

I don't get it, I really don't. He tries it almost every single time and it very rarely works.
