Can I get a grill update? What are we using for the cooking scene? I have 2 volunteers coming, 1's a nurse, and the other is good for weiners and hot chocolate! Nurse will help out with food and stuff and do bandaid's when needed
I think 2 or 3 people will be good on the food stage, depending on how often these kids eat

TFG is in charge of that Detparment and is working with Jack@7 on the situation right now. They will report soon Thanks TFG and J@7.
Thanks for filling those very needed volunteers S86....much appreciated. As a side note we donot administer any medical attention to the children without permission from B@G personel first. I fully expect WC will need some sort of medical attention to keep the nurse busy, lol.

Im hoping if all the volunteers show for the event we will have the option to make necessary personal changes on the fly

Theres power way up in the campground, dont know if its live during the shut down period or not. I was thinking, the wall tent would probably fit in the small bay right beside the boat launch, might shelter it from the wind if its a bit strong. plus its between the lake and the washroom facilities.

I considered bringing my generator, but what would I need it for? Not many things to power, and without it we aren't all subjected to listen to the buzz of a generator for a few unnecessary electrical items.

Is the area going to be sectioned off with caution take or rope.
If so how big of an area do you think we need to tape off.

only place you would be able to camp is on the ice, seen other people do it before, unless the MD allows camping for that weekend

im not sure if a taped off boundary is needed, i believe our congested area will be eslf explanatory. But i do thing we shoulkd mark the one side of the area nearest to the ramp to keep vehicles from turning directly into the event.
the lake is open to the public so we cant restrict public acess, so all we can do is warn people of the event and keep everyone as safe as possible

As ive discussed with TFG previously the hum of a generator is irritating at best. I suggest we have one there for a unforseen back-up but plan the event without using a generator

Thanks

Thanks, sliver and ogre. Just waiting on a few details of the size of certain things.
The plan is to hit PCR early and do our work, then head off cross counrty to do a afternoon and evening eye fish at LBR or Keho.

Got sone emails today that product for the event will be sent out early in the new year.
Early in the new year i will complete the inventory for the gaming permit and that will shut off all donated draw prizes for that permit.....thanks to everyone who has donated to the volunteer prizes.
I will purchase the plastic ice scoops for the children to use.
Brcause stranger things can happen i will go to Super Store and purchase the big bags of smelt. Knowing my luck days before the event there will be none to be found in large quantities and priced well.
More updates after the Holiday Season

good idea on the early bait, couple derbies the week before, and the iga down here doesnt even have a bait section anymore. seems smelts have been hit by a shrink ray, they may as well call them minnows now, at least the ones weve seen lately

Smelts
FYI- I was looking for some jumbo size smelts for us to use down south and Superstore had none but the deerfoot meadows and the one in south trail crossing have lots of bags of the good size ones for Pine Coulee. If you go to one of them or both you will be able to get lots. Unfortunately for us Wayne all they have is the ones I showed you yesterday but would be perfect for your kids outing.

1500 smelt purchased. Average size is 3,5 inches. I have no idea what size chunk of smelt works best at PCR but this will provide each child 28 pieces of bait if they are cut in half.
