lol one person out of 8,045,311,447 people likes the flames logo best and wrote an article on it…..
I like the flames logo…… even Better than oilers, but this guy is out to lunch with his nice logo ranking.
A flaming c and an oil drop over the word oilers, should not be above a hawk jersey.
Each to their own though…..

Boys are buzzin the last 8-10 games. Like watching some young guys that actually have an interest in showing up each night. Hope the Christmas break doesn't slow the momentum!

Not sure. Is he on our team?
I’d say very good.
Almost doubled them on shots
Didn’t give up a goal.
A few things to tighten up but played well as a team.

In Columbus the kid would just ask mom and dad who Gaudreau is.

Is it time to fold the tent? Start betting jugs they don't make the post-season? Glad I haven't watched more than 5 minutes or so.....

It's really been a slow year banter wise back and forth between the flamers site and the Oil site, not much to be happy about or blow our horn about on either side
Happy New Year to all the Flamer fans out there
I don't suppose any of you felt the breeze as the Oil blew by you in the standings and have 2 games in hand EH Sorry I couldn't resist

A team many predicicted to win the cup passed the 27th place team on 30 December. Can't say I did notice, thought it was the furnace kicking in.

Crazy ending but I’ll take the win.
Great pass by Huber for Gilbert’s first goal.

Now that was a dominating job by Huberdeau.
One defensive breakdown resulted in a goal. Still time to work on D.

We've had some players that didn't want to play with the Flames in recent history, so I can feel their pain, but this fellow sounds like a piece of work. Philly drafts him, then after a few months he just ghosts them: ""But when we realized that he refused to talk to us now, it’s been months......".
Wow, a team drafts you, and you won't even pick up the phone.

The Gauthier situation highlights a problem the NHL has to fix. The player may be within his rights not to sign, but this primarily happens with NCAA players.
The NCAA loophole needs to be closed. These teams ask players if they want to be a Flyer or Flame or Panther before they draft them. When players change their minds with little consequence for reneging on their promise, it can damage a team's long term development.
Gauthier, Fox and Hyman are the Flyer, Flame and Panther picks who played in the NCAA and then refused to sign. There are others but I'm too lazy to google.
I expect that we will see this dealt with in the next CBA.

Nice game by Sharangovich, SH, EV, and PP goal for the hattie!
I was skeptical, but that trade is looking pretty good about now:
-Sharangovich: 25 years, 17 goals, 30 pts, this year and next for $3.1M; and,
-Toffoli: 31 years, 16 goals, 30 pts, this year for $4,250,000.
And statistically it likely won't amount to an NHL player, but we also got the their 3rd round pick.

Depending on how one wants this season to play out, seems like as good a time as any to play Vegas, Eichel, Theodore, Karlsson, and Hill are all out (pts wise, two of their best forwards, their best d-man, and stats wise, their best goalie).

Well…!
Hail and well met my dear Flames fans.
Tis I.. Bessiedog… I come here to see if any of you vagabondish, skalleywags would care to make a bottle bet upon tonight’s modest contest…?
My traditional Flames fan here is too timid to take up the challenge this time…
Any takers good sirs….?

Too timid? Hardly. Too realistic more like it. Markstrom is still out, not that it would probably matter much.
Can't wait for the magpies to gather.

She’s a 50/50 game. I wouldn’t bet. Both are playing well recently.

I’d have to give the edge to the oilers on firepower and power play.
Edge to flames on Defense
Goaltending is a question.
Holloway is called up by Oilers.
Flames have the Klapka tonight. He’s a big dude that I hope throws the body around. Kane better be careful.
If the flames wins it points to lower mental fortitude for the oilers.

Last 10 games the oilers have played they have given up 2 or less goals. Lol
