No good. Walking into TO after a seven day break is a recipe for disaster.

I guess we will have to put up with watching the Flames taking their comeuppance

I disagree. Call it a covid all star break. Heal some bumps and bruises. Get some rest. Let the rest of the Division catch up in GP. Then get at er.

Tippet loves practice time to work on the technical stuff and the Oilers always look better after a couple of days of practice.

This is a major league God send and I bet there's a lot of teams envious. Better to have the break now than at seasons end

The record for teams coming off a mandated week off is something like 70% losing that game.

I agree practice and rest is good. Hopefully they come prepared for TO. Watch some tape have a game plan and learn how to execute it are all good things. But it’s not game play. Not the same intensity and my thought is they will struggle in that game.

I sure hope I’m wrong. We will see.

After that 3 game debacle against TO, I feel the fellas will be running on nitrous and the leaf's will not know what hit them, whether running back to backs or on a 6 day layoff...It won't matter.

Given that we don't have a real game to watch tonight I suppose a guy will have to watch the senator's kick the poop out of the shames again ......... my would that be nice.......... sure hope it happens and while they are at it someone should give mr anderson a couple slaps up side the head just to remind him to keep his hands off the puck.

Should be a close game. Teams are evenly matched.

Looks like Klefbom's surgery is tomorrow. I guess we'll have to wait and see what the doctor's say and what he wants to do.

I don’t really like anything that comes out of Ottawa but the score in the last couple of games has shown be that Ottawa is not all bad!

GAME DAY!

Need a strong performance with early goaltending tonight. A little help from southern brethren wouldn't hurt either.

I’m hoping the shames lose every game for the rest of the year. Your team doesn’t need help. They will make the playoffs, and then it’s a new season. Kind of like what the flames found out last year!

I think 1st place will be a huge factor for the Oilers. If the Oilers finish 1st that guarantees we won't face the Leafs in the 1st round. I would rather the Leafs get eliminated by another team in the 1st round. I don't know if my nerves could handle a "run and gun" type series like that, and the Oilers really don't want the outcome to come down to goaltending, though this is the best goaltending we have gotten in a long time.

The goal is to win. I hope the leafs are not the team to worry about. There are a few better teams down south. Once the oil get to the playoffs, they have to play their best games to have any hope. I’m hoping they do well, but first place is not in their future. Jmho.

I agree. Oilers need to play their game to win. The worry about the Leafs is the same as the Flames and Sens. Sometimes another team just has your number. Finishing first would be great but at the end of the day when playoffs start it’s the first team to 16 wins. And the road is not easy no matter who you meet.

Interestingly enough, the oilers are the only team without a Bettman point

I’m the same way . I remember in years past the Pantyliner dome crowd use to be relentless on bashing the Oil in this thread with the fat kid kicking them when they were down. There were more posts from Flamers spewing their delusional banter than from Oiler fans.

These days the games played make me harken back to the good ol days. The anticipation and all. It's fun again for an Oiler fan.

Lord knows, its been a tough decade or so.
