Spray was bad Saturday, open water all along shoreline. Also Spray Lakes road was impassible from KM marker 29 south towards Engadine Lodge. Will post pics & give better details if I get time later today

Pigeon
Pigeon - East side of the lake has 8"-9" inches of ice, 1" of flood water, 1-2" of snow. Flood water should be all froze up within the next few days.

Wouldn't mind an update on Sturgeon or Snipe, hoping to get out around Christmas time.

2014-12-15: Keho Lake
10" of white ice near the east piers with lots of goose tracks. Some thin ice near shore, likely previously open water that froze last night. I could crack it with a kick, so I walked around. Pike bite was decent. Sunny and foggy most of the day.

Chestermere
Got out to Chestermere on Sunday to try out some new gear. Ice was 12" everywhere I drilled on the south end.

South ab lakes
Be cautious around shacks. Heard of several sinking with last weeks warm weather. Saw this open water close to a recovered shack, could cast and fish right out of it!

7-10" on the weekend near Edmonton. Flood water was frozen back up. Ice was good quality in some areas and slushy in others.

For now I'd avoid southern/eastern ab lakes and stick to the north and central lakes to the foothills and mountains for couple more weeks, thisyear has been pretty mild

Best advice in the thread.
That said, the slush and snow should be pretty much done around edmonton lakes? I know there's plenty of ice. Thinking about hitting up devil's for a few hours on the weekend.

Badger
could throw a big rock through the ice along the dam at the pump shack on the outflow, and big cracks along the south shore. only 11 inches other places and not looking all that healthy, dont be driving on!!! and the fishing was awesome, the catching non existant, one of the few days Ive been skunked this winter had a couple pike kiss my bait but that was as far as they got, first base.

That's because they know you are a big tease .....
Ice seems to tightening up here over the last few days with temps well below zero .... should be pretty good this weekend ...... but still to early to risk driving on.

13" on gull as well as a couple idiots who had no respect what so ever for fishermen and decided to rip by my tent in there "fancy machines".
You'd think putting your truck through would have been a lesson but you had to roll your shack as well....
Karma I suppose, not sure if you noticed my shack was 10ft away from your SXS as you started to rip.
Careful out there boys, maybe the slow the bite is getting to me.
