National post, ctv news etc. didnt say they were specifically but rather from the region. But one can usually assume that a Chechen would have more reason in their mind than ethnic Russian. My apologies to any non religious zealot Chechen.

Boston has some pretty tough gun laws, the bulk of the population is hiding in their houses behind locked doors with little more than a phone for protection. IMHO I believe that this will play against the anti-gun lobby.

I don't think the angle is Muslim, at least in the usual terroist sense. I think the angle is Chechen/Russian. Consider these two quotes from a Reuters article in the Sun today:

"The attacks in Boston could bolster Putin, now president, who has long argued that Chechen separatists are nothing but terrorists and asked for the West’s support."

and

"Security is an important issue for the 2014 Winter Olympics, which will be held in Sochi, a peaceful part of the North Caucasus hundreds of miles from Chechnya."

Think it would be outside the realm of possibility for Putin and his old KGB buddies to set this up? Take a whack at America and at the same time get them sympathetic to your side against your internal enemies. The kid's facebook page wasn't anti-west, it was more anti-Russian, at least according to the stories I've seen. No apparent grudge against the US. Strange.

This event will probably be a victory for the "conspiracy theories" and they will probably be proven correct.

There is just too much available cellphone, surveillance and independent video footage at the end of the Marathon to suppress and discredit.

If you found an old video on your camera of an airplane crashing into the Pentagon on September 11, would you be reluctant to turn it over to the authorities?

What if your video showed a missile instead?

They were allegedly there because of the "live bomb drill" that was supposedly being conducted by FBI and Homeland Security at that time and at the Marathon finish line.

There is just to much video of guys with khaki boots, khaki pants, black Craft caps, big black backpacks, earpieces, hand held radiation detectors etc to suppress.

The bombers even walk by many of these guys like they were part of the team.
