Default Iggy sacrificed enough...

And a month later, shames fans r gonna lament how igs screwed them by kyboshing the Boston deal and insisting on the Pitssburgh deal.

Feaster did a bad trade... I am assuming it was simply done to respect Iggy.

Pheasy.... Welcome to leafland! .... More commonly known as hockey hell.

We been there.

What DO the draft pick prospects look like anyhow?

I hear the hitmen are doing well.

Feasters hands were tied. He had to trade Iggy to Pitts or run the risk of losing him for nothing at the end of the season. Calgary was never going to get the return they wanted in this scenario. Shero had all the bargaining chips. They at least got a first rounder that can hopefully be flipped in a package for a above average player

'hands were tied'

Quickly change to ' he screwed us' by the bandwagon fans that plague Calgary.

I hope that dosent happen... Iggy is a super class act!

Wasn't he actually from St.albert?

Or is that just Mess?

Hitmen is good hockey this year I hear.

Good entertainment for the dollar.

I'd do that before a Flames game for the rest of this season

the flames will be in the pool for first round draft picks for the next decade. as long as they fill the seats, management will be happy . Go Flames Go in 2023.

I'm willing to bet they all have their '4 team list'

Some want nothing less than the cup, but others are content to collect a huge paycheck based on mediocrity.

I think Iggy had done more than enough over the years to earn the right to call his shot. Good on Feaster for respecting that wish.

I wish him all the best in his new adventure. While not a big fan of his, there is certainly no denying the fact he'll be in the Hall of Fame one day, and to do so without a ring wouldn't seem right.

He has his shot now. It should be fun to watch the guy unburdened and only have to worry about going out and just playing hockey for the first time in too long. Go Pens.

before you start dissing other GM's, you only have to look at your own GM, how he still has a job is beyond me, he has done NOTHING, his idea of doing something is finishing last so one can get the first draft overall, I know, its tough to decide who is best overall

Feister and KK both suck. Allowing Iginla to pick after 16years was class, its not just a business and think owners had much to do with it. wonder how many NCAA players we could get for Bouwmeister roflmao! its painful

Iggy got the last laugh, like Daryl Sutter his pockets are full and the damage is done. He should have been moved last season or at least in the off season. Flames management is the laughing stock of the league. Edwards and King still think its 2004. Heck I was listening to Calgary radio today and everybody was in denial. They talked around in circles until they decided that the two players Pittsburg dumped on them were going to be as good mess and Gretzky. Quite sad how a once proud organization is being run. They should have started the rebuild two years ago. Oh! But all those washed up players were going to bring the cup to Calgary! Who is the fool!!

I quit following the Flames when they got rid of Sutter and refused to correct the actual issues with the team.

Things will get better but it is going to take a long freaking time now because of the poor management decisions the past few years. Remember the Oilers in 2007, that is the Flames now and we are going to have the same 7+ years of rebuilding now to get back to being a decent team. We aren't going anywhere with dufus Feaster behind the wheel though...

Nice.

As the upward trend continues it's only a short period of time before the Oil will start being able to attract high end talent at a premium price ala the Pens. As the saying goes, there's a Flames GM born every minute......

Great game between Oilers and Bluejackets! Beauty fricken goals and a nice Brown vs Bull tilt. It looks to me like the Oilers are serious about taking a run at a playoff spot. Hopefully some teams will go on a bit of a losing streak to help them out. Maybe the Flames will beat CBJ after back to back games.

How the heck does that work anyway? It seems like the Flames always get to play teams the night after the Oilers play them.

For all you guys praising Fiester for respecting Iggy's choice of teams to go to, the reality is that Iggy screwed him. They ran a clip of a radio talk show on Sports Net tonight with Fiester saying that the next time a player is asked for a list of teams to go to, he'll get it in writing. As they said on tv, THAT says a lot! I like Iggy, but let's call it the way that it is.

So the entire hockey world knew for a few days now what teams Iggy wanted to go to and their GM didn't???

Holy hell. Fatty really is Peter Griffon in real life if he believes that.

Boston's GM was also saying that the had the agreement all but finalized at about noon yesterday, but then the cheeseburger destroyer phoned him at 11:30 PM and told him Jarome chose Pittsburg , so we are sending him there.

Feaster then went on to eat a dozen flapjacks and a small child.
