Even when his own teammates HATE HIM?? I mean constantly HATE HIM.. The worlds biggest team sport and you bring this azzwipe into the room.. I thought you guys at least understood hockey and how it worked.

There's actually such a thing as Junior C?
Oh yeah. Its a thing here in Calgary. Edmonton doesn't have it. They just water down Junior B.. Its fun, full contact hockey with committed individuals with a extremely wide skill gap. Trick is too get them out to practice and make a team. Lots of social functions. So much fun to hang with these guys. It was a Honour to coach I tell you.

I don't think Kane is the answer to the Oiler troubles, but reading a transcript of what he said after someone for no reason went after his daughter... I think he brings something to the team. He has always been an on the edge player and I don't think the Oilers are a contender this year anyways. But he might show them what it means to have some fight and make them a better team going forward.

Ironic when you state hockey as the world's biggest team sport.

I think this is going to end up being a very good signing for the Oilers!

Which one of the Flames picks you listed was a first OVERALL pick?

62 career goals from a first overall pick. What a joke. Even Baertchi scored more in less games.

Zero idea what you are saying. I really do believe a locker room can win over talent in Hockey. Good luck with that in Basketball. Football teams are way too big to be cohesive. Baseball can operate with some star pictures. But it seems Hockey requires a different mind set to be successful. The team must come first.

This clown is a team killer.. Not a maker.

You do realize that the Flames were one of the teams interested. Guess he mustn’t have seen them as a good fit. You worry about your team and we will worry about ours. I go to church on Sundays, and look for teachings on life and morality from my pastor, not my hockey team.

I never saw a thing about the Flames being interested. I Cant seem to find much on that at all. If they had signed that clown, I would have instantly given up my season seats. This is a massive mistake.

I don't recall ever talking about his Gambling issues, his wife beating accusations, his betting on his own team accusations,. I have only spoke of what a cancer this POS is in a locker room and how he is always hated on his teams. It really shows what sort of organization the Oilers are. Pathetic... His former teams and coaches make fun of him after he run out of town.. In end of year meetings his team, mates beg and plead that he be let go during the off season. And signing him in Edmonton is a good idea??? SMH......

I agree. I am all for it. Posted it a few pages back. I'm a fan. Of hockey.

I disagree with any team signing him. But, the signing is only for 5 months. So, by the time he disrupts the team, the Shames will be golfing and the Oilers will be in the playoffs.

I am not sure why Flames fans are so worried about the Oiler's signing Kane, other than being worried about the Oilers passing them in the standing.

And I agree that the Flames were right in not signing Kane. I don't know what would happen to Thachuk and Johnny if the spot light was on someone else. It might have the same effect as the playoffs and both players would seem to disappear.

Go Oil!

Kane, plus the return of RNH and Hyman, will see the Oil cruise right on by the Flames by the end of February. And yes, I know full well we need either a real change of fortune for our own netminders, or one coming in trade, to make any dent in the playoffs.

Jamie, why do you come to our thread to talk such smack? Like seriously. Nothing wrong with good natured kibbitzing and jabbing. So jab all you want, but if you are going to be insulting just back away from the keyboard. There is enough sht in the world without over the top ignorance. It’s just not necessary.

BTW, he was asked what teams expressed interest in him and he named the Flames.

I was on the fence about the signing but after seeing the reaction from Flame's fans I think it is awesome. He gets to live rent free in their heads.

I don't he was signed to be a pillar of society, purely a hockey move, which he should excel at and will definitely contribute to the Oilers success.
