There's still a few in the safe that should be a contender for this challenge. Couple of the large hunting rifles are next. Wind gusts and cool out today..Maybe tomorrow. Amazes me how your shooting deteriorates when not shooting for a while. Takes a while to get back into the ZONE.

I've shot with you Lee. I'll keep wasting components, thank you.

Smile Are you supposed to draw the circles first?

If that is the case I'd better get the POI and the POA to coincide.

I think that these are fun.

Good one. If you draw the circles after shooting, and can't keep the holes inside the diameter ... don't blame it on mother natures wind

Default Failed today

Took out Thumper today. Custom Gunworks build. Bob put this together for me a few years back. A left hand Rem 700 on a heavy Ron Smith gain twist 26" barrel. Chambered in 35 Whalen AI. It launches 225 gr. Sierra at 2845fps safely. A very accurate rifle right out of the shop. Topped with a vx3 4.5x14.
I pulled shot number 4 way out but I'll post pic anyway. So Thumper goes back in the safe. Another Tikka is waiting in the bullpen.

Fish, shooting when it is a tad less than ideal builds character Good on you for getting out with your Swede. I use those 130 Ber VLD (H) in both a 26O Rem and 6.5 X 47's which are ballistically pretty similar to the Swede.

Just posting a little love for the Vanguard S2. This one's in 223.

I picked it up at Wholesale when they were clearing them out at bargain prices. The plan was to get an inexpensive gun that I could use at the range to practice shooting from various field positions. Turns out it's a pretty accurate rifle.

This was a friendly competition last weekend with a buddy to see who could meet 260Rem's moa challenge. 260Rem called for 5 consecutive shots in the circle, but for our contest we insisted on 5 in a row. Big prize = can of pop.

Hey Big Sky ... enjoy the "pop" (and of course the bragging rights you've earned). Good job!

I finally got to the range to give this my best shot. Here is the results. There is still room for improvement. Remington 700 223. Thanks to some good friends for helping me put it together.

Default Target #2

For some reason I could only post one picture. Here is the second target completed consecutively the same day. Thanks for the comments guys, I enjoyed this challenge. Always room to learn and grow.

Default Gave this another try

I finally have a great round built for my new Ruger precision rifle in 6.5 creedmoor . Still never made the cut and I was shooting pretty good today .

Took a few test shots and everything was good to go. Just made a small adjustment before I started.

Got right to business

Tested the bugger out to 320 and 424yrds and it shot 4 great groups.

First 2 groups

Made a little adjustment

Hey FHP ... Some nice shooting. That Creedmore is a good "caliber", and I am starting to warm to those chassis platforms (think that is what they are called).

Thanks 260, when I first seen people post about this rifle last year when it was released I thought it was the ugliest thing I've ever seen haha. But the more I looked around for a rifle that was ready for target shooting and wasn't going to cost an arm and leg time went by and good reviews and videos started showing up on YouTube the more I liked it.

Default finally got to the range

I have been wanting to get to this challenge since I first saw it. Finally got to the range today but it took 3 tries, a bit of gusting wind was causing trouble. Remington 700 SPS tactical in MDT-LSS stock, timney trigger, in .223. Bushnell 3200 4-12 x50 AO scope on it now but a new Sightron STAC 5-20 x 50 is on the way from Mystic Precision, I am hoping that helps when reaching out

Thumbs up

This seems kind of fun, but I am highly skeptical I'll make the grade. There are some awful nice looking targets in this post.

June 20 2016 in the am.
Savage 25 walking varminter, 223.
75g bthp hornady

I did 15 rounds, was successful on the second two.
I have issues so I added the dot to the circle; it relaxed my eyes and gave me a focal point.
I would like to thank the cement bench who sold me the brass that accomplished this event .
