No worries about the holes that was the only backing I had for the targets with me that day. If there is any questions I will gladly shoot it again, any excuse to shoot more I will always take advantage of. The next one I will make sure only has 12 holes.

Lol no worries....we all do this for fun and on the honor system. I trust that it was done all above board....as I am sure others do.

Yes this one came with what they call an adjustable brake, it can be braked or unbraked. I don't use the brake on this rifle, seems kinda useless with the little amount of recoil it has.

Excellent shooting. Showed it to my GF and told her that is how good her rifle shoots. One word was said. Awesome

Wow, I really applaud the honesty. As soon as I get caught up with loose ends for breakup I will begin this with my Win 94 32 Special.
I shot my new (to me) pellet rifle with target peep sights at 25 metres and I was amazed. Amazed how small the darn target was! These decent pellet rifles are really starting to grow on me. I can pull over almost anywhere and shoot off a bunch of lead and nobody knows or cares.
I've been sick for awhile and my strength, vision, and skills suck big time. If I had to limit myself to offhand accuracy levels with my peep sighted levers my no-shot range for deer would be 75 yards, maybe 50!!!!!

so i decided to not do the three circles thing until i can put 12 in 1 circle im just wasting targets. today i went out and it was blowing the muzzle around in the wind not the best conditions. i did a warmup with my scoped 223 on the left and 12 with my cz 6.5 55 open sight on the right. i used 35 gr ikmr 4895 with 129 gr bullet instead of 42 gr h 4350 it was noticably nicer to shoot and seemed to hit exactly the same place. my cz seemed to be steadier in the wind its heavier but the barrel is about the same thickness not sure if this difference in the wind is real its hard to say because of course the open sights seem steadier

Good job marxman --- I believe that the off-hand challenge may be one of the toughest, especially with a bit of wind!!! Personally, I can control the "buck fever" pounding heart effect only when I am leaning on a bench. Good shooting.

Not by the rules, but who cares. After shooting off the bench this morning I finished off offhand with a magazine full of cartridges out of my 30-06 at 100 yds. More practice is in order.

Hey chuck, if that's a 1 inch square inside that black box, that is good shooting. Grondadulations on stepping away from the bench.

Looks like a dead deer to me. I just ordered that exact same bunny ear rear bag.

I wish mine had the shorter ears but only a minor complaint.

Nice shooting Chuck.
Skytop, I have the exact same rear rest and Protektor refers to those as rabbit ears. The bunny ears are shorter. Chuck's rest also has the heavy bottom, a very desirable feature that keeps the bag nice and flat on the benchtop.

I put that "heavy bottom" on myself 15 years ago. It works great and if I buy another I'll buy one so equipped.

I just bought that same rear bug with the tall bunny ears like you have.
Did you glue plywood on the bottom?

Nice work Marxman.... I'm going to work on my self confidence before I try because I can predict total failure. It got a bit chilly out there today.
sns2 - this Sunday will be busy. +6C forecast, lots of "bushed" shooters, and an Orientation for some newbies.

Those are thicknesses of leather.
I prefer this one with the shorter ears though.
